TASK ORIENTED RESPONSIBILITIES
• Management of day-to-day routine of the Technical Records staff, assigning work and ensuring completed in a timely manner.
• Being able to understand and interpret Airworthiness data (e.g. Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives).
• Ensure that all documents required for the issuance/renewal of Certificate of Airworthiness are properly prepared and checked by the Quality Department prior to submission to the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority.
• Submit Components, Special Inspections and Inspections Projections bi-yearly to the Director of Maintenance and all customers for budget review.
• Review new aircraft records, Components and life limits / TBO’s, Mod status and repairs, compliance with Technical Instructions, Set up logbooks.
• Responsible for the updating of the aircraft/component board.
• Compilation of inspection work pack and issuance of worksheets arising as a consequence of received airworthiness data, which are applicable.
• Upkeep of all aircraft statutory log books and the certification entries in those as required.
• Amend all existing Maintenance Schedules.
• Managing aircraft and component service history to ensure that statutory maintenance periods/Time Between Overhaul’s are not exceeded. Ensure that adequate advance notice is given to the Engineering Department for component changes due.
• Compilation of Engineers Reports and the submission of it and Flight-test Reports to the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority.
• Ensuring all aircraft technical log sheets are correctly made up and in the instance of noted defects ensuring all are rectified and certified.
• Ensure paperwork is filled out correctly and with correct information, i.e. Checking serialized/non-serialized components, ATA chapters, Airframe Hours recorded on defects worksheets and paperwork being properly signed off.
• Research aircraft history in records from archive.
• Maintain aircraft paperwork filing system.
