Position: Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor

SUMMARY

During my tenure as a Master Mechanic, I have acquired technical experience is every aspect of the

industry including by not limited to supervising others and managing the Fort Myer Automotive Shop. The

ummary of my experience is as follows:

As a manager, I make decisions regarding total operation of all equipment including repairing and

Maintaining mechanical equipment on the basis of mechanical principles and solve problems for both

staff and patrons regarding operational instructions involving safety and security measures. I submit and

manage an annual operational budget for the shop in excess of $250. As a supervisor, I prepare work

schedules of subordinate employees, set priorities based on workload, provide discipline, approve leave,

provide information training and monitor work assignments to ensure mission accomplishments. I

communicate with supervisors, peers, subordinates and patrons by emails, telephone, in-person, and

other written forms to ensure clear understanding of the operating rules and regulations, interpreting and

explaining the meaning for others. I assist and often times make equipment selection determining the

kind of tools and equipment needed to do the job. Instruct and assist patrons troubleshooting and

diagnose automotive problems offering suggestions to resolve the problem while allowing the patron to

complete the work on their vehicles. If required, I am prepared with the knowledge, skills and abilities to

provide step-by-step guidance on both minor and major repairs. Through active listening and learning, I

absorb new information critical for current and future problem-solving and decision-making applicable to

expert quality work repairs. As a mechanic, time management is one of the most critical elements of the

industry. Arriving on time and finishing on time is mandatory due to mission critical events and activities.

Additionally, it is imperative that I coordinate with, instruct and train, verbally and in writing, others to do

the right thing the first time so that a quality product is delivered right and on time. On a regular

continuous basis, I conduct operation monitoring on gauges, dials or other indicators to ensure machines

are working properly; operation and control of equipment or systems. As a major element of my

managerial duties, I conduct quality control analysis conducting tests, inspections of products, services or

processes to evaluate quality or performance along with technology design generating or adapting

equipment and technology to serve the needs of the user/patron. As a Master Mechanic, I bring the
