Designing and checking of automated assembly tooling 3D and 2D modeling of Underbody and Bodysides for Chrysler / Fiat and BMW programs using Catia V5 and creating bills of material using Excel. Tooling designs include: product clamping, pining, locating and rest units with slides and dumps, End Effectors, and designing of NC machining math data blocks.

Designing, detailing, 3D and 2D modeling, of suspension and transmission parts for the Gibbs Amphibian Quad ski using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing on cad system: Catia V5, I also worked on detailed exploded assembly sheets for shop aid.

Paslin Engineering, Warren, MI. 8/2008 to 6/2009

Designer checker, responsible for sketching, modeling, layout, and detailing of automated weld tools for Volvo heavy duty truck mufflers and catalytic converters. Computer assisted design programs I used were: Catia V5, Unigraphics NX5, and Autodesk Inventor.

Designer, checker, and plant support for automotive assembly line tooling, high production Bodyside tooling and weld systems, Underbody tooling and weld systems, plant safety light screens, frame squeezer tools for MIG welding, sheet metal enclosure designs, and sheet metal weld guards. Also weld gun selection and weld gun designing. I completed many RWD’s (request for wiring diagrams) control system design forms and written sequence of operations. I designed tooling conversion kits with instruction sheets.

Tooling designs Include: product clamping, pining, locating and rest units with slides and dumps, lifters, end effectors, overhead transfers, welders, designing of NC machining math data blocks, transfer systems, and mezzanine designs.
