Proficient in Auto-Cad, MS project, MS office

Know KM electricity & water regulations, QCS, GSAS (Green Building); Marafeq, NFPA, NEC, IEC, BS, ASHRAE etc.

Expert in core electrical (11KV & LV) and good in other MEP trades.

Familiar with hazardous area/classified areas and relevant equipment categories used.

Testing of transformer, switchgear panel, cables, lighting, small power, loop checking, earthing etc.

Internal and external contractual/ general communications.

Coordination with client, design Consultants, PMC, supervision consultants and all Internal Functions.

ENGINEERING & TECHNICAL APPROVALS:

Review and study in detail & be aware of the scope of works described by the contract document, project specifications, contract drawings & BOQ.

Prepare the work execution schedule (proposed) with start/finish date for all the project activities and submits to client/consultant.

Carrying out design, detail engineering and value engineering as required.

Review/ prepare material submittal, method statement, ITPs and ensure technical correctness and compliance with project specification and local regulations.

Review/prepare shop drawing to comply with project specification, tender drawings, constructability requirement and future maintenance requirements.

Review equipment and systems to comply with project specification, hazardous/classified areas suitability, tender drawings and future maintenance requirements.

Obtain approvals from client/consultants for all the material approvals, shop drawings, method statements and work execution schedules.

Coordinate with planning & engineering department for all engineering works as required.

COST ESTIMATION & TENDERING:

Review and study in detail tender documents and be aware of the scope of works described by the contract document, project specifications, contract drawings.

Know all materials, equipment, manpower and subcontractors and prices for the electrical & ELV.

Maintain vendor list and prices and get new prices from local or international market wherever required.

Preparing BOQs, estimating the cost, assuming requirements, price accordingly if the project is design and build.

Prepare all other supporting documents required to support tender submission.

Get approval from senior management before final submission of tenders to clients.

Negotiate with clients and finalize deals.

Maintain logs of tender enquiries received and tenders submitted, follow up as required.

PROCUREMENT:

Prepare budgets for the procurement of materials and services.

Manage electrical & ELV procurement (local & international) for the MEP projects.

Manage subcontractors and finalize deals with them if their price fits well within our budget.

Negotiate prices and close deals with vendors.

Manage the finalized vendors in order to get the required technical submittals complying with project requirements.

Arrange meetings with subcontractors and suppliers whenever required.

EXECUTION, CONTRACT MANAGEMENT, TRACKING & REPORTING:

Directly involved in project planning, staffing & execution of the work.

Project initiation, team formation, site mobilization.

Progress monitoring, adjustment in planning/scheduling, taking corrective measures to meet the targets.

Ensuring completion of the projects on time, within the budget and quality.

Manage the staff and staff deployment within the project, set & agree targets & objectives in line with the project plan and requirements, monitor performance, provide the necessary support to enable the project team to meet their objectives and perform to their full potential.

Planning & controlling uses of material, manpower, plant & tools by keeping an eye on budget including controlling rework & wastage of materials.

Safeguarding employer’s interest contractually, evaluating change management & variation claims.

Electrical systems interrelationships and construction sequencing.

Review/ prepare Testing & Commissioning manuals and submit to client/consultants for approval.

Inspections, Testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-ups.

Ensuring quality by walk through, inspections, compliance verification and QAQC.

Electrical safety inspection, internal & external auditing.

Coordinating fully with authorities like Kahramaa, QCDD, Ooredoo, Marafeq etc.

Weekly Project Progress review of Projects with Project team, sub-contractors; weekly/Monthly with Client.

Provides the management periodic status reports of site operation including preparation of CVC and CTC.

PROJECT CLOSE OUT:

Prepare and review all as built drawings, O & M Manuals and submit to client/consultants for approval.

Arrange all warranties & guarantees, soft wares & licenses, spare parts, tools.

Organize & submit to client/consultant end user training manuals and arrange for providing the training to client’s team.

Special Achievement:

Singlehandedly trained people & obtained Kahramaa grade A license for the company RTC within a short period of time.

Singlehandedly trained technician for 11 KV jointing & obtained 11 KV license for the company Al Khalili.
