MICHELLE
CARLSON
Executive Assistant/Loan Production Partner
PROFILE
I have 16 years of experience in the Mortgage Industry. Last year I moved from
my hometown of Seattle, WA, then to San Diego CA for about 6 months, then finally to Arizona this past year. Now that I am settled here in AZ, I am ready to get back to work!
I have always worked under a Branch Manager/Supervisor or top producer at
each Mortgage Company I have worked at. I am open to changing careers, if the
fit is right. Customer Service is a big part of being successful in this business. Along with knowing how to handle stressful situations, all while staying calm and professional with the clients, to make sure their experience with us goes as smoothly as possible.
My day-to-day work really consisted of speaking with borrowers about the loan
process, what documentation they can expect to provide for loan approval, sending out items needed lists, reviewing Income, Assets and Property info. Getting the loan through processing and approved by Underwriting for closing. Also keeping all parties involved in the Transaction updated, on if we are on track for closing on time.

o Reviewed the Underwriting Loan Approvals and requested all the conditions needed.
o Started in April, and the position was not what I was expecting. The way they have their team structured was not efficient. Due to the incomplete Loan Applications they were sending to me, to submit to Underwriting, I had to ask a lot of questions to make the loan app complete. They weren’t getting the necessary info needed upfront, so none of the files were complete enough, or ready to be submitted to UW for approval. This meant I could only close about half the number of loans I was expecting to each month, which then left me with half the pay I was expecting. I resigned at the end of May 2024.
