● Coordination of discharges from Primary Children’s Hospital with home care, pharmacy, MD and Family.
● Teach parents to administer IV medications, to give Sub Q injections, to place various types of feeding tubes, to perform complex dressing changes, and other treatments as prescribed by the MD.
● Begin IHC intake process and verify insurance coverage. 1988-1999: Private Duty Home Care:
Responsibilities included:
● Provision of high acuity care for technology dependent children in the home setting.
● Monitor pediatric oxygenation, nutrition, and physical status.
● Maintain and trouble-shoot vents, tracheotomies, concentrators, air compressors, feeding pumps, IV equipment, and other related items.
