From working in family machine shops to high volume production shops I've acquired over 40yrs experience. Starting on manual machines with attention to detail, was promoted to NC's and later to CNC's. Often working a second job in the early years, I would take on different roles within the industry, like draftsman or maintenance tech. While in college was asked to step in a instructor for CNC programing class, which started my desire to teach and share my skills. My greatest joy comes from working R&D and problem solving in any role I've held. I've worked many positions dealing with gov’t contracts in nuclear and aerospace and ISO certified shops. I've learned and assisted with multiple CIP’S like Kaizen, 5S and Lean Manufacturing, working on teams to implement throughout the companies.

Senior toolmaker/ supervisor: Design and make jigs, fixtures and gauges. Service and repair press dies and fixtures. Updating tooling and older fixtures for multi piece pallet fixtures and high speed machining. Assisting maintenance dept for service and repair of manual and CNC machines.
Velan Valve Inc. 1998-2017
Class A CNC machinist on multi axis machine centers: Set up, edit, and run HMC for petroleum, nuclear and cryogenic industry. Advanced to become utility and lead hand on all CNC’s in company, with emphasis on training and implementing CIP techniques in respective machine groups.
Vt Indexable Tooling Inc. 1996-98
CNC machinist: programmed, set-up and ran CNC lathes, mills, OD and surface grinders to produce custom dedicated CNC Indexable Tooling. Also performed all service and repairs of machines and training of operators to become machinist.
Awards and Acknowledgements
Treasurer/officer in JA, VICA, and IAM while a member of each organization.
1st place gold in states and honorable mention at nationals for engineer drafting in VICA.
Special Olympics: 7yrs coach and 1yr intriem coordinator and five yrs of volunteer fundraising.
