TI Cycles of India Murugappa

Design Engineer in Product Development January 2023 – Present

● Supported the development of new bicycle models across diverse segments (kids, CTB, MTB, LB, Standard, E-Bike, Fitness) from concept to market launch.

● Optimized frames and forks geometry for models, resulting in an aesthetic as well as improvement in rider comfort with reduced tool cost.

● Proficient in CREO and AutoCAD for 3D modeling, assembly, and detailed drawings with GD&T.

● Developed and executed ISO 2410, IS 15533, ISO 10613 etc., rigorous tests, identifying critical design flaws and leading reliable product.

● Successfully reverse engineered 2 fitness equipment models, identifying key design elements and reducing development time.

● Streamlined ERP processes (item code, ECR/ECN) by quantifiable improvement, reducing processing time by 30%.

● Collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop BOMs, and learned how to reducing material costs and accelerating cost estimation process.

● Gained hands-on experience through active participation in various engineering projects, contributing to Trim Gym 5 & 7, Timba, Munich, redeem and e-bike etc.

● Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills by investigating reported issues, conducting root cause analyses, and recommending effective solutions.

● Worked on ERP Oracle for database and big data concepts, to know lot items and availability in store house, Sample approval Inspection, to study the RM costs And BOM creation purpose. Simulation Lab

CAE Engineer Intern August 2021 – Sep 2021

● A rocket nozzle is a propelling nozzle used in a rocket engine to expand and accelerate the combustion gases produced by burning propellants so that the exhaust gases exit the nozzle at hypersonic velocities.

● The convective heat transfer coefficient has a great effect on the temperature transferred to the nozzle wall. 2-way analysis in ANSYS with here both Thermal and Static structural solvers.

● The thermal stress will be greater in such conditions, so an additional heat shield is introduced and its impact will be investigated.

● I CAD modelled the rocket nozzle and tested in ANSYS with various methodologies like steady state thermal to static structural, Transient steady state thermal to Transient static structural, Fluent to Static structural, so on.

● The generated results of various methods, which are maximum Von-Mises stress, total deformation and maximum shear stress.

Simulation Lab

CAE Engineer Intern Dec 2020 – Feb 2021

● The behavior of the twin-flap seems dependent on the volumetric expansion of the feature.

● High efficiency also induced fluctuations in efficiency over local velocity ranges.

● The fluctuation region gained some efficiency stability and the constant region showcased an increased efficiency.

● The control and optimized volumetric expansion of the feature can merge the fluctuation and constant region resulting in a single, stable, and high-efficiency region. EDUCATION

PROJECT PUBLICATION

Modeling phase distribution in build platform for better printing in FDM machine Sep 2020

● The objective of this project is reverse engineering and developing an existing CoreXY 3D printer with a customized heatbed.

● The Cartesian motion of 3D printer has been designed and simulated in CATIA. The supports for beams and roller bearings are designed with good Geometrics. These designed parts been 3D printed in PLA material and used for constructing redesigned 3D printer.

● The ARDUINO MEGA is used as a microcontroller to control the DC motors with a help of Merlin software.

● The design was uploaded on CURA 2014 software and here dual extrusion is used to improve print time.

● The heatbed has been customized using an aluminum plate and silicon insulated copper wire. COURSE EXPERIENSE
