Roles & Responsibilities

Develop and deliver the Site Safety Orientation Training for all workers including subcontractors and visitors prior to starting work or visiting the site.

Conduct a daily tour of the working areas and log details of the observations on the Daily Observation Register.

Unsafe conditions and unsafe acts are reported immediately in DSR report.

PSOP (progressive safety observation program) rounds conducted weekly with site engineers.

Report immediately to the EHS Manager any serious safety breaches that place workers in life-threatening situations.

A weekly safety inspection and prepares a report for submittal and review with the EHS Manager.

Undertake a weekly Toolbox Talk with site assigned personnel and ensure that records are maintained of the talks.

Weekly PTST audit is performed at site.

Complete the incident notification and investigations and issue the report within 3 hours to the Project Manager.

Investigating and reporting on all Accident / incident (Near Miss) / First aid report and occupational health problems.

Assist Construction Supervisors in delivering Pre-Task Briefings to the workforce on the control measures identified in risk assessments and the safe system of work to be adhered to.

Audit the registers and permit systems maintained for lifting equipment, lifting accessories, excavations, confined spaces, hot works, Lock-out/Tag-out, etc. Conducting yearly Firefighting & first aid training to the employees.

Assuring the inspections related to the safety and health of the organization is taking place. The equipment is including vehicle, extinguishers, fire alarms, etc. should be properly placed and working. Safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities. Career Achievements

Monthly Multi-disciplinary Team Inspection of Safety, Inspection by HODs on the scheme of Own your section, bi monthly Safety Audit Inspections have been conducted and the items noted by them are being complied.

Every Saturday Safety Review Meeting is conducted under the PM/PCH, all department officers for analysis of Safety related issues, and corrective action is taken for improving safety working in the division.
