Montana State Prison – (Custody Officer) Deer Lodge, Montana 10/2019-Present

Control inmate population and maintain order, yearly weapons qualification, crisis intervention, report writing and handcuffing techniques.

Youth Dynamics – (Psych Tech/Day Treatment Counselor) Boulder, Montana 06/2018–10/2019

I supervised institutionalized teens in Day Treatment, counseled, de-escalated tense situations, and provided staff support for teaching staff. Completed training in MANDT, common sense parenting, and First Aid/CPR. Worked with various mental disabilities and disorders including; schizoaffective disorder, bi-polar disorder, depression, Posttraumatic stress disorder, reactive attachment disorder, and oppositional defiance disorder. I acted as lead jailer for Mineral County for five months, training new officers on TurnKey, Swift, and detention center policies and procedures. I booked new inmates, escorted inmates to and from court, transported inmates to surrounding facilities, de-escalated disputes between inmates, supervised meal and medication distribution, and acted as mediator between inmates, visitors, and mental health care professionals. I also have some experience with, and exposure to, drug patches and SCRAM bracelets. I successfully completed the Montana Detention Officer Academy on December 22nd of 2017.

Whatcom Security Agency – (Armed Security Guard) Bellingham, Washington 10/2009–04/2011

I supervised three patrol routes, spanning some 65 miles and 110 residential and commercial properties throughout the Everett, Lynnwood, and greater Seattle, Washington areas. Interfaced with local law enforcement and worked closely with local police and Sheriff Departments. I was an on-site security officer. I interfaced with commercial and residential customers. I patrolled various residential and commercial properties throughout the greater Seattle area and observed and reported to local police and Sheriff’s officers. I often handled tenant disputes and engaged in conflict resolution. I frequently detained suspicious individuals for questioning, confiscated illegal drugs, and patrolled parking lots to discourage vehicle prowls and to enforce property parking regulations.
