Increase Tool & Die area production by organizing and directing jobs. Setting up Tool & die area as well for best functionality and overhead Crane use.
• By applying Lean Manufacturing processes, I was able to stabilize then Increase production.
• Replaced stamps with another vendor: Better tool life, better overall mark on the tooling, Less downtime, less change-overs.
• Created all Work Instructions, Safety Instructions, Machine Operation Instructions. Machine input Energy Documents for Lock-out Tag-out for the Cold Form Roll Marking area and the equipment I am responsible for.
• Increased production to best levels ever with constant updated training.
• Trained personnel to set up and operate roll marking machines, Vibe bowls, Parts washer system.
• Reengineered the Equipment to be more capable, Attempting to Increase throughput with Marginal/Poor equipment. Reached 85% from 20% before production was halted.
• Assisted with setting up the Tool & Die area, Getting Traceability in with routers, Worked with and Trained Machinist in the area trying to speed up their knowledge base.
• Working for Stanley Dallas (Proto, Mac) to find new production methods to cut cost and create a more robust process of production creating closer toleranced parts less fallout scrap.
• Created all Work Instructions, Safety Instructions, Machine Operation Instructions. Machine Input Energy Documents for Lock-out Tag-out for the Tool & Die area equipment.
• Get Baselines on processes and actively work with outside tooling vendors to find better process tooling to optimize production while keeping profit margins up.

• Project: Re-Engineered one of our Stamp machines to be more robust increase it’s abilities while decreasing maintenance intervals from every 6 weeks to a projected 2 years or more. We are on track with no failures so far and the other 6 machines will be getting the same alterations. DynaEnergetics, Blum, TX Feb 2019 – Oct 2021
Manufacturing Process Engineer
Increase and maintain TSA production levels while growing capabilities. Introduce new production parts as unveiled by company. Source and acquire equipment for processing new parts and establish running process with no downtime. Create TSA manuals and operating procedures to promote workplace safety. Drive daily compliance while maintaining output levels. Improve product quality and increase tool life while stabilizing process and productivity.
• Raised profit margins and lowered production time by applying Lean Manufacturing processes. Minimized downtime with timely equipment repair and restoration to factory specifications.
• Replaced inefficient tool and generated savings of $35K per month not including downtime caused by breakage.
• Increased internal production to highest levels ever with outstanding profit margins.
• Trained personnel to set up and operate dual-spindle, dual-turret machines.
• Changed one production tool and boosted output by 7%. Lowered downtime by 9%. Cut costs by $25K per month.
• Project: Increase tool life in machines. Worked with tooling vendors to and coolent vendors to double tool life in the CNC machines reducing tooling cost monthly by 1/3 and reducing coolent cost over the year to 1/3 of what we were doing previously.
Klein Tools, Mansfield, TX Jul 2015 - Feb 2019
Manufacturing Process Engineer
Sustained production levels while increasing capabilities. Wrote instructions and user manuals to drive consistency and minimize defects. Defined and tracked performance metrics and defect trends to maximize productivity. Optimized quality through process control and replication. Produced assembly instructions from blueprints. Wrote quality bulletins to address non-conformance found in completed parts. Developed new repair procedures and authored robust processes. Designed fixtures and tooling procedures for short- and long-term processes. Monitored margins for opportunities to cut costs through continuous improvement. Used statistical analysis to track process improvements. Practiced corporate responsibility to institute environmentally friendly policies. Distributed communications to engineering colleagues for knowledge sharing throughout shop and onto factory floor.
• Originated parts inventory process to sustain production and minimize work stoppages caused by missing parts.
• Assisted with the planning and execution of the production machining equipment move from Lincolnshire facility to Mansfield, TX factory gathering as much knowledge as possible for the processes.
• Raised profit margins across production lines while reducing production time via Lean Manufacturing processes.
• Gathered team of specialists to increase production, raise quality, and drive workplace safety compliance.
• Project: Increased production with new die for 1/16" and 3/32" screwdrivers. Achieved 60K good parts before stopping production to inspect die. New die repaired broken process and eliminated constantly failing die. Tool & Die costs were reduced by 2/3rds with consumables for the die repairs, Consumables then could be sharpened while the Die is in operation Reducing downtime drastically.
