I’m a Certified Medication Aide, and I work currently as a Medication Technician. I assist with medications and I supervise and make sure that all residents are properly taking their medications. I do inventory and reordering of resident medications through the pharmacy of choice. I also have to make sure that all medications are in date, and any expired medications, I have to discontinue as company policy and procedures. I supervise the Resident Associates and whenever they need any assistance I help in doing so. I keep track of are daily narcotic counts and audit the medication carts on a daily basis, and keep track of the refrigerator temperature log daily.
Group Home Manager

I worked as a group home manager with elderly individuals with intellectual disabilities. I was responsible for the overall supervision of my building and the residents that lived there. I had to maintain the cleanliness of the building with my staff, and ADL's of all the residents. I was responsible for reordering medications with the pharmacy and getting Dr. Authorizations in a timely manner. I was responsible of the narcotic count and making sure my staff was counting the meds and signing the narcotic book before and after their shifts. I was responsible of ordering the buildings food and maintaining all inventory throughout the building. I had to always keep up with all the residents medical files, and Dr. Appointments on a daily/ weekly basis. I had to make sure not only myself, but my staff was aware of all health department state regulations as well as annual visits with the Fire Marshall. I was also had to maintain my managers Food handlers license. I always had to make sure that not only my staff but as well as myself were up to date with all trainings and certifications. I have my Diploma as a pharmacy Technician from Alvin Community College and 12 yrs. Experience in Assisted Living facilities as a Medication Supervisor. I also have my state Certification to work as a manager in an Assisted Living Facility through Seminar training. And Certified as a Medication Tech through Texas.

I worked as a medication supervisor on the night shift, and I was responsible for the entire building. This included monitoring all medication carts, and there nightly narcotic counts as well as mornings. I kept count of inventory on all medications such as reordering medications, faxing Doctors of any change of conditions with residents. I received all medications that came in from the pharmacy, and logged them in the residents MAR. I filed any resident documents in the correct chart. I also passed any medications throughout my shift that were scheduled throughout the night and morning. I was responsible for monitoring all exit doors and any emergencies through the community. And followed company protocol on what to do in any emergency situation. And I managed the Resident Associates and helped whenever I was needed.

I worked as a Medication technician and I worked mainly the morning shift, but I also worked the evening and night shifts occasionally.
