Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
- As program analyst - Plan, schedule, and direct worldwide deployment of personnel (stationed domestic and abroad) across every geographical region to monitor, test and inspect IT equipment for assurance, equipment functionality and compliance of Diplomatic Security (DS) regulations.
- Coordinate outreach efforts with agencies of the U.S. Foreign Affairs community to validate the division’s IT Strategic Plan of promoting worldwide IT technical security services and use operational tactics to meet identified objectives.
- Adjunct Facilitator for the Classified Equipment Lifecycle Management (CELM) course – A course given to Department of State staff as part of their onboarding, as well as annual refresh courses across various geographical regions.
- Arrange and manage the deployment of personnel across geographical regions to monitor, test, and inspect IT equipment for compliance of Diplomatic Security (DS) regulations, as well as administratively annotate the removal of antiquated/excess equipment from embassy inventory libraries.
- Oversee day-to-day responsibilities related to administrative functions, quality control, training, budget, procurement, contracting, and travel.
- Author Service Level Agreements with agencies of the U.S. Foreign Affairs community, authorizing travel to perform security inspections of critical IT components.
- Property Manager - Maintain active inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) via active modules of The Department’s Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS). This responsibility expands to six offices, two laboratories, two warehouses, an overseas location, and multiple embassies (and consulates).
- Division’s Unit Security Officer (USO) – Ensure compliance against promulgated department (and federal) policies are followed, minimizing instances of violations and infractions.
- Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian – Oversee inventory, distribution, accountability, and destruction of COMSEC keys. Additionally maintain COMSEC material and equipment. Ensure adherence to COMSEC procedures; maintain secure storage and physical security of all COMSEC material; as well as ensure timely destruction of COMSEC material.
- Perform administrative function by submission of Cryptographic Access requests for staff to perform assigned responsibilities in Controlled Access Areas when on overseas assignments.
- Prepare reports and briefings to senior management, addressing matters from staffing and roles/responsibilities to strategic and tactical reports, pertaining to division operational readiness.
- Organize and provide high-level presentations to Department of State Foreign Service (Information Management Specialists and Information Management Technical Specialists) New Hire staff.
- Facilities Evacuation Action Plan (FEAP) Coordinator – Coordinate FEAP briefing in with another IC organization to collaborate on real-time responses to any emergency in which staff needs to either evacuate and/or remain sheltered-in-place.
- Manage directory of Standard Operating Procedures manuals. The manuals exist as living documents to provide guidance to staff on daily expectations.
- Point-Of-Contact for the upkeep of the division’s SharePoint program. Maintain active directory of division documents, updating them as required, ensuring operational contingencies prosper with minimal impact.
- Team Lead in completion of monthly division data calls (budget / performance metrics).
- Principal Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder. Task ensures materials, and GFE is made available to division staff.
