Work Experience
Laborer
Pilgrim's pride-Enterprise, AL
May 2022 to Present
I started as a production laborer / scale operator, and before leaving I became a lead, I was tasked with coding, grading, scaling, sealing products, as well as stacking off 40/45 lb boxes shoulder high, all while maintaining my team and keeping the stress levels at minimum. After executing all tasks in such a timely manner I had the opportunity to learn other departments, like rehang, saw line, Fast food, as well as whole bird. Now as the lead of the Parts department where my roles include taking various parts of chicken, and verifying they are in the correct box, code each box properly. I am also tasked with taking on the special orders from every department and making sure to have each order executed before the deadline to be shipped, with plenty of time before the deadline so, shipping wouldn’t be in any kind of bind. I am able to keep my line pullers, motivated to bring the proper parts of chicken in the proper boxes, as well as with proper weight. I’m able to run 3 saw lines, and 4 fast food lines, sending an average of 8 different codes of chicken consistently and not get backed up. My and my team (one other person) can run an avg of 13 codes a night, that I have memorized. When I first came to the department I kept track of each good weighted and sorted box, and in less than a month I was able to boost the moral of my line pullets that the avg amount of good boxes that I didn’t even have to touch had increased by no less than 15% and continues to get better. I have excelled at each and every position that they have given me the opportunity to try.
