• Coordinate and collaborate with healthcare team members in cooperation with the Medical Staff to assure safe efficient throughput of Emergency Department patients from time of arrival to departure.
• Proactively address flow issues to assure metrics are met and constantly monitor status of patients' care (direct observation, interaction with care team, monitoring of tracking board) to ensure that medications and labs are administered/collected timely, results are in progress, care activities are completed, and discharge/admission process is completed.
• Actively engage and collaborate with Pod MD and MLPs to identify any issues delaying patient flow such as lab, radiology, nursing, transport, bed placement, transfer to other facilities and transfer to other areas within the hospital.
