EXPERIENCE
United States Postal Service, Buffalo, NY— Supervisor
July 2023 - January 2024
I was responsible for several units within the processing plant. While supervising the docks, I was responsible for the incoming and departing truck trips. While supervising the parcels processing machine (SPSS), I would be responsible for making sure the parcels coming in to the plant and going out were scanned properly. If they failed to be scanned properly, the parcels could end up in the wrong station, therefore not arriving to customers on time. I was responsible for calling overtime, when necessary and also responsible for work related consequences for those employees that did not follow policies.
United States Postal Service, Buffalo, NY— Processing Clerk
January 2021-2023
I was responsible for sorting and processing mail on the machines in the Processing Plant. We had certain numbers we were required to reach each day and that number would vary based on the volume of incoming mail to be worked.
EduKids, Cheektowaga, NY— Lead Teacher
September 2007 - February 2011
As Lead Teacher, I was responsible for the classroom, including themes for the week, art projects, “messy play”, and outdoor activities. I was in charge of the overall classroom and helping parents with their questions and concerns about their children and their development. My lesson plans were required to have the NAEYC required curriculum including art, science, reading time, free play, messy play, music among other activities. “Learning through play” concept was extremely important in my lesson plans because every activity can snowball into something else for the future…playing with beads begins math and counting skills…playing with and kneading dough will strengthen the muscles in the hands for holding writing utensils and scissors in the future. For any activity we performed, there was a reason for it. I also love speaking to parents when they have questions about how to handle certain behaviors or actions in their children. When the director of the facility was off campus, I would handle speaking to potential parents and giving them a tour of the facility, while answering their questions and helping them with their concerns. I am also a published author of a children’s book about starting preschool “Gracie’s Night-Night” that is available on Amazon. I am also speaking with different publishing companies to turn it into a series.
Niagara University - Niagara University, NY — Admissions Counselor
April 1998 - August 2000
As an Admissions Counselor, I was responsible for selling the school to potential students. My territory was all of New York State, excluding Buffalo, Rochester, and New York City and all of New England. I would travel to these locations and speak to students and their families at high schools and college fairs. I would also meet with students and their families at the University. As an alumni, I was responsible for a lot of different aspects of the Admissions Office. I was the liaison between the different colleges of the university and the Admissions off and was responsible for putting together acceptance letters for all of the students accepted into the programs. I was also put in charge of a pilot Student Telecounseling program where current students would call potential students to speak with them student-student.I was solely responsible for about 20 students. Because it was a pilot program, no training was available so I had to create a training program and booklet for any students working with the admissions office. The potential students also had the opportunity to stay overnight at the university and I was responsible for organizing those activities. As an alumni, I was also in charge of asking other alumni to attend college fairs in their area if the admissions office would not be able to attend. I would have to put together a training packet and send all of the too;s needed for the college fair such as a banner, pamphlets and cards for the admissions office. I was the best person for this position because I loved my school and no one could sell it as well as I could. That is how I feel about this position with your company…I am very passionate about children and their well being. I believe it truly tackles a village to raise a child and I love being a part of that for our future leaders.
EDUCATION

February 2011
Niagara University, Niagara University, NY — BS Business Administration
August 1993 - May 1997
With my education, I was able to do several internships with M&T Bank, Lord and Taylor and The Buffalo Sabres. I was able to experience Marketing, promotions, finance, sales, merchandising, inventory, human resources, and management.
PROJECTS
Student Telecounseling Program — Students calling potential students about attending the university on behalf of the admissions office.
This was a pilot program so I had to create anything from scratch. Training manuals and training programs had to be written and put together as well as creating a stay overnight program.
Getting re-accredited by NAEYC - putting all of the information together in a binder to complete the intense criteria required to maintain our NAEYC accreditation for our facility.
Skills
Public speaking is a very strong skill of mine. I have spoken to small groups of 3 or 4 to groups of 100 people plus. I welcome questions and make sure to give clear and concise information on the subject matter at hand.
I have familiarity with creating training materials from scratch due to being responsible for pilot programs of Student Telecounseling Programs with Niagara University. I was not only responsible for hiring the students but actually creating the training techniques used for this program. I also trained alumni of the University that represented the Admissions Office at college fairs we were not able to attend.
As a Lead Teacher, my lesson plans changed weekly with a new topic of focus. Because we were NAEYC accredited, we followed a curriculum that included art, music, messy play, free play, art projects, and science daily based on the weekly topic. This “Learning through play” concept allowed children to learn while having fun doing it.
I have also worked in the marketing, promotions, and merchandising departments with the Buffalo Sabres. I worked in Sales with Bank of America and merchandising with Lord and Taylor.
