• Logistics functions such as shore base warehouse management, expediting, receiving, crating and shipping may be contracted and managed, in some locations, by a third party. This will be detailed within the 3rd Party Logistics’ (3PL) contracts, and Processes defined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Selection and management of 3PLs and customs agents lies with Supply Chain.
• Compliance to regulations of the exporting and importing country, US Export Compliance, FCPA, and UK Anti-Bribery requirements. This includes performing regular quarterly customs audits on all customs brokerage agents.
Each rig maintains an inventory of spare parts and supplies for use in maintaining continuous operations.
• The Rig warehouse is staffed with at least one Senior Offshore Materials Coordinator (SOMC), responsible for the warehouse using a computer based inventory management system.
• Supply Chain performs warehouse assessments as required to ensure effective management, visibility, and quality of the rigs’ inventory.
• Supply Chain is accountable for providing inventory reporting and reviewing, monitoring, and updating inventory controls as and when required.
• Review open purchase requisitions and recommend potential inter-rig transfers (IRTs) possibilities. Ultimate decision of IRTs falls with rig management. Date 09/2023
