APPLICATION SUMMARY
I am a retired person, seeking part time employment with a maximum 20 hours per week, ideally with two 8 hour days or more to minimize my travel time. I have the ability to work weekends and/or irregular hours. I have a widely varied 50 year work history including sales in retail, real estate and insurance, business services, client and customer service, extensive driving experience in both large and small vehicles, one on one counseling and other endeavors.
EDUCATIONAL HISTORY
Elementary school and high school in Gillette, Wyoming, graduating in 1964. College: University of Wyoming from the fall of 1964, graduating in January, 1970, with a BA degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Advanced coursework with honorable recognition in writing and composition. During my career in the 1970’s – 80’s, I took courses and received licenses and certification in real estate and insurance sales.
WORK HISTORY
In January, 1970, I took a position as a school speech and hearing therapist in the public schools in and around North Platte, Nebraska. I held that position until June, 1975, when my wife, son and I relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado. My work history in Fort Collins is as follows: 1975-1977 – retail sales in lumber and building supplies with United Building Centers. 1977-1986 – residential real estate sales, Busch Real Estate and Moore and Company. 1986-1988 – part time property tax consulting with Fenton, Greiner and Yates. 1988-1993 – insurance sales and consultation for a funeral pre-need program with Allnutt Funeral Service and with Reager Funeral Home. I also helped out part time with funeral home services, duties and logistics. 1993-1998 – sales of work place apparel and logo embroidery services with Designer Threads. 1998-2001 – sales of printing and publishing services with American Business Communications. 2001-2003 – driver for a concrete supply company, Bestway Concrete. 2003-2008 – sales, driver and production work for a document storage firm, Professional Document Management. 2008-2010 – sales and driving for a courier firm called The Feet. In 2010, I filed for social security and worked part time as an airport shuttle driver for Super Shuttle. In 2017, I worked part time for a residential HOA, Capital Consultants Management Company, providing assistance in their clubhouse.
My primary interest and emphasis in my career was and is customer service and one on one contact with the public. I enjoy sales and client interaction. I have always enjoyed driving and delivery positions. I like writing and have experience in advertising, analytical reports and essays.
