Cover Letter for Health Caregiver or Health Assistant Application This is a cover letter to express my interest in a post of health caregiver or health assistant. I graduated with a Certificate in Health Caregiving in July 2023. This is a career change move after I retired from my previous employment as a lecturer at Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources on 31st January 2023.

I have a Master of Statistics degree, and I have been working as a lecturer for the past 7 years. In this previous role, I was responsible for teaching and assessing students in a variety of statistics courses. I have also worked as a statistician/biometrician before the lecturer position, and I have experience in data collection, analysis and report writing. This experience is essential in a health caregiving environment as data on patient’s vital signs is recorded and reported to the health professionals for assessing the patient’s wellbeing.

I am making a career change because I am passionate about helping people. I believe that my knowledge, skills and experience would be a valuable asset to your team. I am a patient, compassionate, and reliable individual. I am also a good listener, and I am able to build strong relationships with the health care team. As an elder who is still physically strong and fit, I would be able provide good and pleasant companionship to my client.
