Recovery Coach, Anger Management

I did all recovery coach duties, ran groups, and directed people to treatment centers all over Michigan. Presented all the resources available to the clients. I would direct and help them to plan out the challenges they had and work through them one at a time. I would meet with clients and help them individually, to cater to their specific issues. I kept case notes and files on all of my clients, and I am familiar with all the documentation necessary, and all the software programs our staff used.

Ran the MAT program, which included participating in the distribution of MAT medications. I worked with inmates one-on-one the majority of the time.

Introduce them to programs and resources when they are released.

Because of the restrictions from MDOC, I was not allowed to start groups of any kind. This made it impossible to get the proper resources for the inmates. Or organize and build any kind of real support and direction.
