Oversaw full P&L as General Manager of Gulf Sulphur Services, a JV between The Mosaic Company& Savage Services. Managed all O&M, commercial, G&A and and business development activities for NA marine terminals, supervising 60+ workers. Reported to JV Board of Directors consisting of Mosaic & Savage Executives.
Cultivated and maintained commercial relationships with global oil and fertilizer companies, including ExxonMobil, Shell, Saudi Aramco, ConocoPhillips, Mosaic, CITGO, Phillips66, Valero, CF Industries, Marathon, BP, etc.
Drove Financial and Commercial justification to design, build, own and operate articulated tug barges in partnership with major fertilizer producers in North America
Developed commercial agreements for new $10M molten sulfur marine terminal on the Mississippi River to receive sulfur by truck and rail, store and loading of blue water vessels.
Led negotiation efforts for all current and future contracts, including 40+ operating contracts to 20+ customers.

Led unit-level Business Directors and Business Managers in performing day to day financial and operating analysis of more than 25 Oil Refinery operations throughout North America.
Developed the financial model and commercial proposal for the $25M Acquisition of Marsulex Inc.'s Petroleum Coke Division, consisting of 5 in-plant cutting and handling agreements.
Controlled the financial functions for more than $150M in revenue, including annual business plan and budgeting, daily operating statements, monthly close process, financial statements, monthly and quarterly reporting.
Secured significant cost reductions by implementing operating strategies to manage customer relationships, employee safety, environmental concerns, productivity, equipment maintenance, and professionalism.
Flying J Inc. 2006 – 2009
Division Controller: Ogden, UT 2007 – 2016
Oversaw full accounting and FP&A activities for oil refining division, with $2.5+ Billion in revenues, supplying gasoline and diesel fuel to Flying J retail business nation-wide. Supervised a team of 12 employees, ran a daily P&L for Flying J CEO review, and presented performance at monthly financial review to CEO and Board Members. Led efforts to secure $400m term loan for major refinery expansion in Bakersfield, CA. Managed successful restructuring efforts after Flying J filed for Bankruptcy in 2008, ultimately paying all creditors back 100% of debts.

Led all business matters for construction & design of 9 new retail locations in US & Canada from ground acquisition, building design, permit approvals, contracting and start up of retail operations. Liaised with restaurant, C-store, retail and fuel supply teams to ensure critical design elements. Managed multiple $10m+ construction contracts and ensured timely delivery.

Product development, manufacturing and distribution of chemically treated wood products and water treatment chemicals. Partnering with 20+ timber mills, supplied 100% of chemically treated timber to Lowes stores in the USA, in addition to majority wallet share at 84 Lumber stores. Other key customers included Home Depot, Menards, and other large regional lumber retailers. Strategized and approved quarterly vendor funded marketing campaigns based on sales and margin outlook.
