Position: Full Charge QuickBooks bookkeeping job

Skills: both desktop and online QuickBooks bookkeeping since 1999, personal and schedule C income tax preparer for 7 years up to 2016, familiar with Word, Excel, MS Publisher, and Abode Photoshop/Illustrator/Acrobat. Since I used to prepare tax returns, I tend to make suggestions about how to clean up the accounting to be safely more aggressive towards taxes (i.e. no guessing on expenses, better documentation, no commingling personal and business expenses). In 2010 took the HR Block Tax Preparer Course in California. In the beginning of 2023 I moved to near Augusta, Georgia. I have carried over some of my California bookkeeping clients as remote jobs in Georgia.

Employment History:

International Contact, Inc. 2018 – 2022 part-time

Duties: Full-Charge bookkeeping using desktop QuickBooks; enter payroll through ADP, including being in charge of Paid Time Off; reconcile credit cards and bank accounts; general ledger; set up depreciation when necessary; file quarterly sales tax returns; issue 1099NEC; make custom reports to President. Supervise Accounts Payable clerk. The President also owns the building under a separate LLC which houses the Company. So instead of paying out dividends to the two shareholders, I suggested she increase the rent paid by the Company to the building LLC for a potentially tax sheltered way to avoid the double-taxation of dividends. Company sold May 2022.

Tim Fiebig Corp 2019 – present part-time

Duties: Company is a sub S corp for a real estate broker; download transactions and reconcile accounts using online QuickBooks; export P&L into Excel and separate broker activities versus personal rental properties cash flow; issue 1099 NEC; analyze the effectiveness of the advertising dollars. Been working on him not paying personal expenses through the Corporate checking accounts. Also doing better documentation to justify the Office in the Home deductions. I helped him do the underwriting to analyze purchasing large apartment buildings with investment partnerships.

The Benefits Store Inc. 2006 - present part-time

Company Purpose: group health insurance sales for CA Real Estate Agents. Duties: Full-Charge bookkeeping using desktop QuickBooks until 2020, when new General Manager took all financial aspects; enter and pay company bills; previously prepared 100+ monthly checks to health insurance carriers for our various groups (now it is done online); Issue 1099 NECs; formally signed checks on Trust account if needed (now General Manager does transfers online); Prepare deposits and sometimes go to bank to do banking activities; Journal entries as needed, particularly regarding the Shareholder Loans; reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly; prepare data for owner’s personal & Corporate tax returns using Excels exported from QuickBooks. Currently remotely enter payroll into online QuickBooks; reconcile bank accounts monthly; create reports as needed.

ICIM 2023 – present part-time

Purpose: Nonprofit that teaches and promotes acupuncture and other alternative medical techniques. Also supplies an acupuncturist to hospitals. Duties: reconcile bank accounts, enter monthly payroll and donations into online Quickbooks. Set up their Chart of Accounts.

Alamo Improvement Association, Inc (AIA) 2015 - 2022 part-time Purpose: Nonprofit community organization based in Alamo, CA that acts as a City Planning Dept to advise the County on building projects and community activities; The President of the AIA is also the owner of the Benefits Store, so when I am at the Benefits Store I also do AIA items if necessary. Now AIA has an elected Treasurer, so I consult when problems occur. Duties: reconcile accounts and enter charges for their big fundraisers. Currently uses Classes and the Account Numbering System to differenciate between different sources of activities. Uses online QuickBooks. Create reports using filters like Classes. Danville Mortgage & Financial. 1989 - 2020

Duties: Full Charge Bookkeeping using Quicken Deluxe, inc AR and AP; income tax preparer 2010-2016; mortgage loan processing; Business stopped upon death of owner.
