Responsibilities: Tool & Die Room
Plan preventive maintenance of production tools and arrange periodic inspection and calibration of various equipment like micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, wire elongation testers. to ensure they are within the uncertainty of measurement limits.
Manufacture and supply tools & dies, spare parts and components in consultation with maintenance, process-engineers, production department, stores and service departments to reduce lead time on spares availability.
Co-ordinate with purchase clerk for procurement OEM tools & dies to maintain inventory to avoid outage and long machine downtime.
Support development work vis-a-vis process improvement, machine upgrade, Safety, thereby enabling continuous improvement.
Recommend and co-ordinate with external contractors for services that are outside the in-house scope to ensure timely completion of works.
Maintain the record of Asset as per ISO and BASEC requirements.

Initiate inquiries to various approved suppliers to negotiate prices for cost effectiveness of Engineering material, Hazardous materials, IM materials, Machine spares from OEM and local suppliers.
Ensuring safety standards are met for hazardous materials.
Safety gear and MSDS are made available at hazardous material location.
Organize material receipts, storage, issues and inventory control to enable the orderly withdrawal and timely reorder process.
Approves SAP invoices and tally them with purchase order to enable booking for payment.
Carry out Interim stock check on a regular basis to enable stock reconciliation by both internal and external end users.
Carry out Year-end Stock checks with Account auditors.
Train, motivate and build a successful engineering team
Maintain Inventory by using FIFO method.
