The Care, Custody, Control, Supervision, and observation of Residents who have been found to be incompetent, and who are still awaiting to stand trial. Duties involve counting, escorting, feeding, restraining, searching, counseling, and monitoring residents. Other duties also include report writing, 2 way radio communications, key control, security checks, answering the phone, and knowing where exactly all residents are at all times. Job required working a lot of over time. I've worked as much as 66 hours over time in a two week pay period while employed there. Certified Nursing Assistant

Job was part time. Job responsibilities included cleaning and wiping off tables, along with removing all dishes on every table, after customers left the restaurant. Also involved taking those dishes in the kitchen and giving them to the dishwasher. This was to assist server's, make their job easier, and allow them more time to better serve customers, rather than have to clean tables. It was also to help waiting customers be able to be seated much sooner, and not have to wait so long to be seated. I was staying with someone for the month I worked there, due to the damage caused at my home 90 miles away, caused by Hurricane Michael. Once power was restored at home, and trees were removed, I was able to go back home, get a full time job with a hurricane disaster relief company (Metric), and therefore resigned from this part time restaurant job.

Other than not having the authority to detain and arrest people, it was almost identical to a police officer's job. Job duties involved the safety and well being of traveler's visiting the rest area, and making sure that all laws, rules, and guidelines were adhered to by any and everyone that visited the rest area. Job required carrying a loaded holstered weapon, ammunition, and baton. I was also assigned to protecting a judge in Tallahassee while with this employer. I worked primarily at the Chattahoochee, FL rest area, and some times in and around the Tallahassee area, however the main office or closest office location with this employer was in Jacksonville, Florida.

I worked as a server, although before that position there, I also worked there as a dishwasher and a cook. Job responsibilities included welcoming guests, giving the guests menu's, taking their drink and food orders, entering those orders into the computer, and bringing the food and drinks to the guests. Other duties included refilling their drinks, cashing them out, and removing dishes and cleaning off the tables after the customers were gone. I also received an award/recognition for going above and beyond the employer's expectations, and was even chosen to fly and travel to another one of the employer's locations (Kentucky), where they were short staffed, where I worked a month, was offered a promotion if I stayed there, before I decided to return home and continue working at Gadsden Correctional Facility.
