As advisor to the Foreign Minister responsibilities included:
oManaged entire office for foreign affairs minister (5 secretaries, 3 chauffeurs, 4 assistants), foreign affairs ministers schedule and appointments, and all office documentation coming into and out of the office for both sensitive and non-sensitive information including documents created or received, emails and faxes.
oReviewed documentation to determine what was sensitive information versus
non-sensitive information and worked directly with the Foreign Minister one on one for all sensitive documentation
oManaged an internationally funded program with the European community. Coordinated, scheduled, and participated in business and financial meetings to manage the $27 million budget between the European Commission office in Brussels and the Republic of Panama office. Monies provided to the Republic of Panama by the European Commission funded causes such as education for the poor, development of new courthouses within each province, and development of new jails.
oTraveled to other countries with Foreign Affairs Minister to assist in meetings with other governments and government officials. Prepared content and prepped the Foreign Affairs Minister with all information necessary to conduct meetings.
As assistant to the Vice Foreign Minister responsibilities included:

oActed as a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Bureau of Market Access in a Free Trade Area (ALCA)
Advised the Vice Foreign Affairs Minister on which areas to negotiate including economic affairs, international law, and commerce. Reviewed documentation with the Minister of Commerce and Legal Director of Foreign Affairs Ministry used for trade negotiations between Latin America and the United States. I traveled internationally with the Minister of Commerce and the Legal Director of the Foreign Affairs Ministry to assist in trade discussions and negotiation meetings.
Reviewed documentation on import and export trade agreements and provided input and feedback to the Vice Foreign Affairs Minister and department Directors.
oActed as a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Commission of International Trade Negotiations, Ministry of Commerce, and Industry
Performed the same responsibilities as with ALCA except dealt with the World Trade Organization (WTO).
As executive assistant to the General Director responsibilities included:
oResearched different sectors to use as content for international meetings such as civil rights, social issues, commerce, and financials and reviewed with the director
oPrepared prioritized documentation for the director of international economic relations
oAttended director meetings with ambassadors of other countries and provided input to the director after meeting based on notes taken.
