EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

REDWOOD CHIROPRACTIC, Redwood Ave. Vallejo Ca. December 1990 - August 1993.

(Independent Contractor) I was the treating chiropractor in a Filipino based offic e specializing in whiplash and other injuries caused primarily by motor vehicle accidents. I utilized spinal adjustment as well as various physiologic therapeutics such as ice, moist heat, inter-segmental traction, spray and stretch, ultrasound and diathermy. I took a patient from a pain management mode to an active phase of rehab. It was here that learned to write good insurance reports and handle being deposed, in and out of court on numerous occasions.

CLINICA QUIROPRACTlCA GUADALUPE, Watsonville, California, October 1993 - November 1991. I was the chief treating chiropractor in a Spanish speaking office serving primarily migrant farm workers from Mexico and Central America in a predominantly agricultural community in Northern California. Our clinic specialized in work injuries and the Worker’s Compensation system of California. Heavy documentation was required including the Dr's first report of findings, and periodic progress reports. My duties included initial examinations, taking, marking and evaluating x-ray films, orthopedic and neurological exams, including history and reports of findings in Spanish. Treatment included spinal adjustment, as well as physical therapy modalities. I was charged with giving a "Plactica" or chiropractic talk to the families on Wednesday nights in Spanish. I also did two radio shows in Spanish, talking about the benefits of chiropractic care.

PACIFIC HEALTH CARE, 388 9th St. Oakland, Califomia. January 1996-April 2003. I started initially as an independent contractor then bought this multi-disciplinary practice in Oakland's "Chinatown." My clientele included Chinese,Vietnamese, Thai, Cambodian, Lao and a few Japanese and Korean patients. Most all were victims of motor vehicle accidents, or other personal injuries. Treatment consisted of chiropractic spinal adjustment, as well as physical therapy modalities such as galvanic current and ultrasound, to manage symptoms, and promote soft tissue healing. I employed a Vietnamese MD and a TCM practitioner to do Tui Na, cupping and needling. We grew to be one of the biggest Asian based personal injury practices in the San Francisco Bay Area. My duties were to intake, evaluate, examine, treat and rehab our patients, as well as triage to other in offic e practicioners. I was also legally deposed in court many times and accepted quite a few court appearances as an expert witness. I sold the practice as the personal injury business was stressful.

CHIROPRACTIC PLUS Santa Rosa, Ca. 2004-2006. I opened a low overhead, low cost practice for the purpose of serving people with limited resources. I treated a diverse clientele for both health and specific symptomatic pain management. The practice included Diversified, and some SOT adjustment techniques, as well a cold laser, infrasonic, ultrasound and a dry Jacuzzi massage bed as adjunctive therapy. THE SPINAL CLINIC, Accra and Takoradi, Ghana West Africa, 2006-2008. Opportunity to learn the WLP practice management system. I got my introduction to straight chiropractic. (Chiropractic without physiotherapy) I saw high volumes of people, sometimes over a hundred a day. I interviewed on local TV and radio, and did workshops for a many as 50, using scripted material and my own personally crafted information on all aspects of health. I built a clinic from 0 patient visits a day to over 70 in less than two months in a city of 200,000 people.
