Managed the HR function for this plastic pipe fitting manufacturer with 115 employees located in Corsicana and Houston, Texas. The company closed it’s Houston location and consolidated operation in Corsicana.
• Created a new Employee Handbook within the second month of employment.
• Negotiated company benefits and coordinated open enrollment with small meetings to explain benefits.
• Oversaw all candidates’ hiring including weekly overtime reports, monthly headcount reports as well as monthly attrition reports to monitor for potential supervisory issues.

Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center, Chicago, IL Oct. 2008 – Dec. 2012 Director of Human Resources and MIS
(Left to complete Master’s at Lewis University/relocated to Houston, TX in July 2014) Took over operations of a poorly-running HR Department for a severely understaffed Juvenile Detention Center with 400 employees with a staffing plan that called for 515 employees. Worked with Teamsters and ASFCME.
• Served as a key member of the reorganization team along with the Center Administrator and four other Department Heads.
• Used a Change Management approach to ensure the new organizational culture was successfully established.
• Administered on-boarding procedures for more than 380 new hires in four years.
