I take care of a young man who had a stroke and is locked in. Meaning he can only move his eyes. I do everything he needs done with him, and for him. I get there and start getting his day started. We make his breakfast and get him cleaned up and dressed and out of bed and into the kitchen for some coffee and breakfast. And then we do everything that anyone else does on a daily basis, with and for a man that can not move anything but his eyes to communicate. And I do this for about 14 hours a day. Then at the end of the day we( it's me and another girl working together for the shift)get him fed him dinner and get him ready for bed. I clean his house every shift. There aren't very many of us girls that work for this man, and his mom stays overnight every night, but I am the one that is known to be the cleaner of the house.
