In working with facility management for a major client, Dun & Bradstreet Software, my firm Commercial Space Design helped to meet client goals reducing leased space requirements by 15% while increasing employee communications. We eliminated fixed walls and created efficient specialized open plans with furnishings by Haworth and Teknion. The client’s employee efficiency was increased by 30% enabling employees to save time and money and to meet a crisis deadline. This was accomplished by working closely with suppliers and subcontractors to coordinate installations and meet an almost impossible timeline for delivery.
My firm also reconfigured Dun & Bradstreet’s 13 story building to further save space and decrease costs by decreasing employee work areas using open plan systems and core meeting and shared workspaces.
Working with my office park owner/clients I consistently designed spaces that helped clients sign lease tenants in competitive situations with other office parks.
In the $1.3 million dollar redesign of a building in Dunwoody Office Park, I reconfigured a previous racquetball center and church into the Atlanta School of Massage by adding a mezzanine floor increasing total tenant rentable area to meet tenant needs and enabling my client to maintain a valuable tenant and re-lease a vacant building on a long-term lease commitment
My firm designed and managed the total renovation of a 14-story residential high rise senior center in Atlanta, which had not been updated in 20 years. We replaced and updated all finishes including carpeting, wall coverings, and flooring as well as specified and installed all new furnishings for the public areas, offices, and restrooms. The project included reclaiming unused basement storage space for a classroom and computer room, with multipurpose meeting area for a children’s learning program which was dedicated by Atlanta city officials.
