I became the “team leader” at a small personal injury law firm, starting out as a secretary, honing my skills, and graduating to Legal Secretary and then Law Office Manager, and I did the bookkeeping throughout.
I dealt with clients constantly, taking new cases, investigating coverages, scheduling medical appointments, speaking to clients before and after each appointment. I also dealt with medical providers, scheduling appointments and obtaining medical records, as well as insurance carriers.
I then was promoted to Law Office Manager, in charge of the operation of the office, including administrative duties.
I took a hiatus in 2011 when I moved to Land O' Lakes, FL to take care of my mother. During that time I attended Sanford Brown University in their Massage Therapy Program, and I also did a short stint at Costco as a Products Demonstrator.
