Tear down and assess issues with units. Test units thoroughly, take pictures, take measurements using verneer callipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment. Check units electrically using megers, hi-pot, and phase surge testers such as Baker epuipment. Determine what parts are required to repair units and write them up. Clean parts thoroughly using sandblaster, grinders, wire wheels and lathes. Assemble units installing mechanicanical and lip seals, ball bearings, moisture sensors, gaskets, new hardware and sealants. Install new cordage from as small as 16/2 up to 2/4 and larger for power and sensor cables. Strip back and flex seal and epoxy as needed on submersible and explosion proof units. Wire all electrical connections, 230 and 460 volts three phase and 110 and 220 volt single phase using insulated connectors, heat shrink, soldering and brazing techniques, fiberglass tape and so on. Test and run all finished units making sure they are the correct voltage and amperage. Fill with grease and oil as needed. Paint finished units and draw new wiring diagrams as needed. While at EMT I have passed numerous courses including forklift, electrical safety, arc flash and hand and power tool safety. I have also obtained certification in CPR and First Aid which is valid for two years. I have all previously mentioned documentation. Used over-head cranes and forklifts on a daily basis to aid in the tasks given to me. As well as skidding up units, banding and wrapping in plastic to ensure they are shipped and delivered safely and securely to the customer.
