8-bed cardiac intensive care unit devoted to the care of adult patients suffering diverse cardiac conditions such as acute coronary syndrome, myocardial infarctions, cardiogenic shock, dysrhythmias, and congestive heart failure in addition to Medical ICU overflow patients with complex multi—organ system failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, acute respiratory distress syndrome, CIVID-19, pneumonia, drug overdose, alcohol withdrawal, influenza, and hypovolemic, anaphylactic, and septic shock. Implemented patient care for critically ill patients, treatments included:
-Targeted temperature management
-Ventilator support
-Continuous veno-venous hemodialysis
-Cardiac mechanical assist devices (Impella left ventricle mechanical support and Intra-aortic balloon pumps)
-Temporary transvenous and transcutaneous pacing and invasive lines including pulmonary artery lines for pressor and inotropic support

-Responded to cardiac and respiratory arrests per current Advanced Life support guidelines within BIDMC

-Orient new staff nurses and senior nursing students to the unit
-Act as role model in exemplary patient care

INPATIENT DIALYSIS UNIT – Clinical Nurse II

12-bed inpatient dialysis unit devoted to the comprehensive medical care of adult patients in renal failure requiring hemodialysis.
-Provided care for patients, monitoring hemodynamics during dialysis treatment

36-bed emergency department, requiring a broad range of responses to various acute physical and psychosocial issues.
