Director of Human Resources Operations at PurposeCare 2023 – Current PurposeCare is a provider of coordinated post-acute care to geriatric populations through integrated skilled home healthcare and home and community-based services. PurposeCare, LLC is a $150 million company owned by the private equity firm Lorient Capital. We have over 3,000 employees working 20+ facilities throughout our 4-state territory and remotely across the US.

Hired by the Chief Human Resources Officer to lead the Human Resources Department and provide both strategic and operational leadership for all HR functions including: Benefits and Compensation, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Training & Development.

As Director of Human Resources, I am responsible for establishing the culture for the company assimilating newly acquired entities as well as for providing strong HR leadership both for the executive leadership team and throughout the organization to deliver the results needed for the company to achieve our short-term goals as well as our future exit strategy. This includes:

Work with ELT team to establish company strategy, budget and desired EBITDA goals.

Working on multiple acquisitions that increased our employee headcount by 100-150% and is intended to grow our operational footprint while also significantly improving our company’s EBITDA .

Responsible for overall HR Operations across 4 states serving ~ 3k employees.

Establish standards for mergers & acquisition activity to ensure successful due diligence and talent

Integration.

Ensure compliance of all HR practices to legislative and regulatory requirements, standards, and other relevant policies and guidelines.

Development of meaningful metrics dashboards for key stakeholders including executive

leaders and the board of directors.

Develop the HR Operations strategy, identifying the most impactful structure and processes to support rapid growth

Successfully implemented a new Performance Management Software module through ADP.

Implemented rewards and recognition program across all business units, for improved employee engagement.

Standardized and streamlined PTO plans – implementing electronic accruals & submissions in ADP.

HR Manager, Employee Experience Manager (HRBP) at MACL / Quest Diagnostics 2012 – 2023

Mid America Clinical Laboratories (MACL) was a $124 million joint venture company owned by and in partnership with Quest Diagnostics, Community Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital and CoLabs Pathology. We had over 850 employees working remotely throughout the State of Indiana at 26 hospital-based laboratories, over 30 Patient Care Centers and at our Regional laboratory.

Quest Diagnostics acquired Mid America Clinical Laboratories in 2020. Quest Diagnostics is the world’s leading provider of diagnostic information services. We are a Fortune 500 company with over 47,000 employees globally and generated approximately $9 billion in revenue in 2023.

As Employee Experience Manager, I was responsible for cultivating an open, warm, caring environment for employees, partnering with executive leadership, working with their leaders to solve individual and departmental issues and challenges. I partnered with Senior Leadership & HRBP’s to pull, prepare, and present key metrics on a monthly and as-needed basis: Turnover, Engagement, Succession Planning, etc. while understanding the vision of the company and providing strong HR leadership throughout the organization to deliver the results needed for the company to achieve its goals. This includes:

Project Management: led and participated in various project initiatives to streamline and/or introduce new processes – Turnover Kaizens, Career Pathing, Market/Pay Adjustments.

Piloted Stay Interview program for the region: trained over 200 people leaders, touching 5k+ EE’s across a 20-state region.

Created and enhanced Engagement program for the region, to include quarterly and focused engagement events and activities throughout the year.

Led and expanded positive employee relations efforts through in-person and virtual meetings.

Proactively identified risk and partnered with leaders to reduce turnover, improve EE engagement, and ease unionization talks with EE populations.

Mentor / train new and existing leaders, based on regional and company objectives.

Responsible for the accurate transitioning of MACL employee data to Quest systems.

Lead for acquisition teams to ensure a smooth transition for employees to minimize operational

disruption.

As Human Resources Manager (MACL) I led a team of HR professionals responsible for the full employee lifecycle.

Established a new compensation review process to ensure internal equity and improve recruiting candidates.

Responsible for all HR financials including forecasting and managing multimillion-dollar HR budget including expense management, vendor management, contract negotiation and performance guarantees.

Finalized HRIS implementation for new ATS software that improved efficiency and reduced expenses.

Implemented robust Employee Engagement program to improve employee morale and reduce turnover.

Developed recruiting strategy to improve time to fill and reduce turnover and recruiting expenses.

Developing Management Training Program with TrueU organization including Servant Leadership.
