I enjoy working with children of all ages and have always wanted to work in education field. I also enjoy working with individuals who are developmentally challenged or special needs. I have been an educator for preschool all the way to high school age. I have worked in daycare settings, in home daycare, elementary and high school age group settings. Worked in a group home with development challenged adults and helped them complete day to day goals (laundry, cleaning, bathing, language etc) to prepare them to be more stable at individual living. Goals as simple as washing hands to preparing meals and anything in-between. I was relief staff while here and picked up shifts as needed and did some overnights. I was SCIP trained and van trained through here. I occasionally would take residents on outings to store, park, out to eat, doc appt or pick up/drop off from weekend home visits to family and friends.
