Lead Electronic Mechanical Technician-

● Perform preventative maintenance, fix, repair, and troubleshoot problems within mail-sorting machinery

● Replace bad motors, bearings, and solenoids (each machine has about 300 motors, a few thousand bearings and 7 mail sorters machines)

● Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on Videojet printers which need to be QC’d hourly per the United Postal Services. (18 of them)

● Solder new fuses on computer cards and reset them

● Temporarily fix any issues until parts that aren't in stock come in

● Perform electrical work fixing wires and checking for any problems

● Working on conveyor systems, which direct the mail down the line these have tracking photocells, cameras to read the tray labels and multiple motors. Each line has a strapper 8 of them that break down periodically. I was also responsible for repairs to these systems.

● Use a multimeter for diagnostics

● Make belts instead of buying them in order to lower costs

● Document any parts used to keep inventory up to date and leave explanation of what happened

● Vacuum out machine and clean overspray from the printers due to accumulation of paper dust

● Experience with siemens machines (DBCS5, DBCS6) PTI, J3000, NPI, Mosca strapper Video jet (pc-37, pc-70, pc-170) and familiar with Imaj printers

● Bell and Howell criterion experience, Olympus 2, Pitney Bowes parcel sorter

● Video jet certified pc70&pc37

● Received MLG Siemens Training

● Great diagnostic skills

● Loto safety training, forklift training sit down, stand up, propane, electric, pallet stacker etc.

● Osha safety training, responsible for compliance, equipment to building codes.

● OCR experience (Optical character Reader)
