• I studied abroad in Japan for a summer, and after completing my BA, I volunteered at a Japanese NGO in Manila, the Philippines

• Over there I worked with Japanese-Filipino Children who were abandoned by their Japanese fathers and translated legal documents for them so they could apply for child support and Japanese citizenship

• After the Philippines, I moved to Vietnam to teach English and I volunteered a microfinance NGO called MACDI
