Assumed responsibility for a high volume but failing store. Re-trained employees and re-merchandised the store, which led to a 26% increase over a one-year period as well as increasing man hours on a weekly basis. Lowered shrink from 5% to a 2% in one year, by teaching awareness of surroundings and personal accountability.

Evaluated areas of opportunity to maximize customer satisfaction and retention by changing the culture of the store. This was done by being a leader of the entire team and being aggressive in merchandising and vendor relations. Increased vendor revenue by average of 62%, and in case 110% over the previous year.

Led entire district by hitting maximum bonus potential on sales and margin. Was able to max out on 85% of the year. The previous year the store had maxed out on only 45% of bonus opportunity.

Analyzed cost cutting procedures by training assistants on budget control, ordering dollars to sales and ordering supplies on a needed basis. Based on the plan that I designed, I was put in charge of helping other stores in the district to control costs.

Promoted five people to assistant manager or store manager positions. Re-trained individuals on all aspects of the business, including P&L managing budget, inventory control, proper scheduling, reducing shrink and other losses, and the importance of checking all weekly and monthly billing.

2004-2007
