I met with the children and their families in their homes within time guidelines to gather information about the household, the social history and previous abuse reports on the Florida Abuse Hotline Information System. I assisted the children in understanding all court proceedings. I Wrote, typed and printed correspondence. I Filed records alphabetically and using the dewy decimal system and to create new systems of information resources. I followed up with participants regarding all changes in case status. My work consisted of copying volumes of material and preparing reports for multi-disciplinary staffing meetings. It was necessary to have excellent computer skills using Microsoft programs for correspondence, training, scheduling, tracking; as well as intradepartmental computerized records management systems.
