In life and business, I am nothing more or less than what I choose to make of myself and the particular situation I am in or that surrounds me is nothing more or less than what I choose to make of it. This philosophy was instilled in me as a child and holds even more true today as it did then. As does the principle that a man’s word is worth more than anything.
With these principles in mind, I founded A2 Quality Home Improvement in 2012 with the goal of offering quality home remodeling, renovation, and repair services to the area in which I came of age by growing through referrals created from doing honest work for an honest price.

Experts in bathroom and kitchen remodeling as well as, flooring, tile, drywall, finish carpentry, custom carpentry, trim, moldings, doors, and paint to just name a few. Services also include, decks, and installations of virtually any product, minor plumbing and installation, minor electrical and installation, & power-washing.
As the Founder & Owner I ran the company, and I also did the work onsite. I would work alongside and supervises employees and subcontractors while engaging in all aspects of developing, sustaining, growing, and operating a small remodeling business in a declining economy. Responsible for advertising, obtaining clients, developing proposals & estimates, buying materials, and facilitation and implementation of services. Exiting business due to high competition, and physical difficulties with labor engagement at the level I once was capable of.

Unfortunately, the very young manager who was hired from a competitor ran this store into the ground. Then terminated everyone and returned to the competing parts store.

I managed an extremely busy convenient store. Responsibilities included managing over 12 employees on a 24-hour shift. Payroll, Scheduling, Financial and inventory reports, shrink control, Vendor ordering, Plan o grams, Pos Sales, Stocking, etc. Left for better schedule, pay & benefits.

Managed 17 employees at 2 salons. Took 2 stores operating in the red and increased sales at both locations into the black; Location1 I was able to reorganize the salon and increase sale revenues from red to black within 6 months. Accounting for a 50% increase in profit. After which I was directed to manage an additional failing location for no extra pay. I managed to also reorganize location 2 and bring it from red to black in a similar fashion to location 1. The total increase of location 2 was approx. 30% profit. Additional responsibilities included hiring personnel, training, payroll, scheduling, daily reports and financial reconciliation, Monthly managerial meetings, inventory ordering and control, facility maintenance and equipment upkeep, commission-based sales on products. Left for better job, more pay, benefits, and hoped for a more honest and ethical work experience. As previous owner lost a class action lawsuit for removing overtime pay from our paychecks. As part of CA I was awarded over 7k is past pay that was omitted from my compensation. After which, I could no longer in good conscious, work for the owner any longer.

Legally classified as Private investigator and CI w/ county task force. I did whatever job I was assigned at client facility in addition to active investigations. Included: Daily reports to supervisors about status of investigations, also submitted detais of expenses, evidence, chain of custody, incidents, and progress activities. Upon culmination of an assignment suspects were typically terminated and/or arrested and prosecuted depending upon incidents and evidence gathered. I was also available to testify on behalf of the plaintiff in subsequent legal proceedings.Left due to family issues with repeated relocation.

Drove 10 speed Kenworth W600 Tractor Trailer in van Midwest regional fleet, Issued new truck Volvo semi auto after 60 days Duties included p/u and deliver carrier shipments as dispatched. No accidents nor tickets. Left because received job in industry I went to college for. Much better pay w/ benefits, and home daily.

June 2001 – Nov 2001 (6 months)
Drove Freightliner 10 speed Tractor Trailer in the OTR flatbed fleet p/u and deliver and secure carrier shipments as dispatched. No accident in 120,000 miles. Left for much better money and better home time, Much better equipment, better loads, and changed to 53’ dry van w/ 90% drop hook.No accidents nor tickets.
