Server • Eleven Central Bar Restaurant – Midland Park As a bartender, I can manage drink orders at a restaurant and bar to keep customers satisfied during meals or social gatherings. I have extensive knowledge of standard drinks, which they use to recommend drinks to customers, prepare cocktails, pour beers, and properly decant wines. I may also entertain customers who sit at the bar by providing stimulating conversation and excellent customer service while filling drink orders for other customers.
As a waiter, I can encourage guests to spend more time at restaurants or other establishments and make additional purchases. Additionally, I like to resolve customer conflicts, escalate to management as appropriate, and communicate new orders to Cooks and other kitchen staff. Sometimes, prepare to-go orders as well. Some other duties and responsibilities are checking on customers and suggesting additional items, watching for new visitors and taking their orders quickly, generating bills for customers and collecting payments, disposing of expired condiments and ingredients, troubleshooting problems with equipment, and letting management know when repairs are needed, mopping floors, taking out the trash, and taking care of similar tasks when required, and ensuring orders are accurate before delivering them to customers.
