BRIAN ENCLADE

** ****** **** ****** **, Albuquerque, NM 87107 H: 505-***-**** **********@*****.*** Summary

One of my strongest attributes or my most intense life experience. Was the fact that I served in the US Army for three years, stationed in Korea and Okinawa. But it was after that, that I can truly say, i gained the most life experience. I was one of many returning veterans who suffered from PTSD and Depression. I was so severely depressed and withdrawn from society, that I became a Recluse for most of my 20s thru 40s. It was during that time that I went through a very rigid and intense psychotherapy for a good 25 years. I had weekly individual therapy, and weekly group therapy. I was hospitalized because of my deep depression at least fifteen time. for 2, 3, on up to six months at a time. I have been prescribed every psychotropic medication known to the medical community. It wasn't until 1995, that I learned of the word "Recovery" And was prescribed Olanzapine, "Zyprexa" That was my miracle cure. In 1995. I began my journey out of a long deep depression. It was thru all that therapy, that I leaned what makes a person suffer from Mental Illness, " from the other side of the Nursing Station" Prior to Zyprexa, I had a serious attempt of suicide, in which a shot myseff in the face with a 12 gauge shotgun, and blew off half of my nose. This was the rock bottom for me. From there on, I have become symptom free for the past 15 years.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor 02/2013 to Current Counseling & Psychotherapy Institute Albuquerque, NM I began employment at CPI under the Direction of the Late Dr. Ken Wells. Dr. Wells founded CPI 35 years ago. He retired in 2017. He passed away in September of 2018. Dr. Wells was my first Employer as a Counselor. Dr. Wells was my mentor, and taught me a lot about Community Counseling. CPI is the, or one of the oldest Counseling Agency In Albuquerque. When I first came to CPI, Dr. Wells instructed me to throw away all the book instruction I had learned in graduate school, and let my life experience be my guide. From that day on, I have become, I believe a very seasoned and efficient Counselor. Our new Director, Mr. Garry Halsford, took over as Director when Dr. Wells retired. At the present time, I am the longest employed counselor at CPI. Only our receptionist has been there longer. Now, I am ready to take on new challenges as a Licensed Counselor. I have experience taking therapeutic notes on Intake Assessments, Regular Client Therapy Session, which I have much experience taking SOAP Notes, and doing basic Assessments.

New Seasons Treatment Clinic `` `06/05/2019 to Present Albuquerque, NM

I left Counseling & Psychotherapy Institute the middle of March 2019. At New Seasons, I am a Substance Abuse Counselor. I have a caseload of 60 patients. I only treat those who have an Opioid Addiction and are in our MAT

This job keeps me on my toes having much administrative duties. Heroin addiction is a very serious condition, we have 800 patients that dose with Methadone daily. I believe I have learned a great deal about substance use and addiction, which I will carry with the rest of my life. But Substance Abuse Counseling is not what I have life experience with. I am a Mental Health Counselor, With years if treatment from the Veterans Hospital Administration system. Having had years and years of intense therapy and also years of recovery. I believe I have a tremendous amount of knowledge of Mental Illness, and depression to give back to society, especially Veteran. Better Help

Licensed Mental Health Counselor 2/14/2020

Albuquerque NM

complete Video Tele Health Counseling with Offices all over the world. My j clientele involved people from all over th3 word suffering from all types of Mental Health problems. From Anxiety issues to depression to OCD, to BPD. I was under no supervision, and was allowed to use my education and lifetime experience to treat my clients the way I felt I could lead them to the best solution possible. Not only did I treat my clients problems, but I used my knowledge of Positive Psychology to help them meet their potential. This was the most interesting part of my counseling. I feel like I learned a great while employed at BetterHelp. I am still their, but I have been lessened my client load due the fact that a couple of my clients gave me negative evaluations. This was a great shock to me. Because I have ten to fifteen clients that I have been treating for three or more months, that have complete faith in me. I personally feel I am an exceleent life coach and psychotherapist
