Personal Philosophy Statement:
My philosophy of care is to integrate my education, skills and wealth of experiences in nursing, family health and psychiatric mental health nursing, to provide the most efficient care, that is cost effective and evidence-base interventions that will improve the delivery of healthcare services and improve the quality of healthcare outcomes. My clinical priority and focus are to advance health through teaching, advocating and the use of the best evidence- base practices that are most cost effective and improve life and healthcare outcomes in a variety of settings. As a social agent and culturally competent healthcare professional, I have the passion to serve and provide services to the under privilege population in vulnerable communities and to address some of the challenging issues associated with mental illness and drug addiction
Personal Goals:
Collaborate with other health care professionals, using the best workable evidence- base practice that is cost effective while providing quality healthcare services to patients and family that will maximize their potential, provide meaningful and productive life that would improve their overall quality of life. My long-term aspiration is to effect policy changes that will facilitate and promote the public perceptions and understanding about mental illness especially in underdeveloped countries such as Sierra Leone where mental health is associated with demons and witchcraft.
