INTERNSHIP
Deployed and configured VMware ESXi 6.7 on bare metal servers for a type 1 hypervisor and utilized Rufus to produce a bootable USB drive from the ESXI ISO, leading to the design of a virtual lab infrastructure that included Windows 2019 and Kali Linux distributions.
Architected an Active Directory infrastructure, installing domain controllers to centrally manage the authentication and authorization of 20 interns, resulting in a more efficient and scalable authentication and authorization scheme than just using local systems authentication.
Created and implemented Group Policy Objects (GPO) for Windows Server 2019 domains, resulting in optimized compliance to DISA STIGs by deploying security controls across the Windows enterprise.
Performed security audits in supporting NIST 800-37 RMF requirements utilizing Nessus and SCAP to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance to DISA STIGs that are put into a Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to be tracked to resolution.
