Over the last 8 years I’ve worked in this position with different multifamily builders on garden, wrap, and podium style projects.
My main assignments have been, working on interior finishes, framing punch, drywall, exteriors, etc.
I’m not new to construction, I was a trim carpenter and cabinetmaker working in new homes for several years prior to entering the multifamily industry as an assistant. The skills learned during that period helped me transition into this new role, especially supervising and scheduling interior finish subcontractors.
I use smartphones, Ipads, the Procore platform, and technology in general to contact subs and vendors, check plans, schedule, make punch lists to get units ready for management walks and turn over to owners.

Duties and responsibilities
As an assistant superintendent my duties over the years have been to supervise the labor crew in the cleaning and maintenance of the property, work closely with the punch crew to turn over units, material receiving and inspection, keep logs of men count, work progress and weather reports using procore software. Checked work progress to ensure compliance with architect's specs, checked work quality and resolved any issues with subs, made punch lists and scheduled completion dates with subs., enforced safety.
