Social Emotional Learning Specialist

Modeled and practiced with teachers on how to utilize Conscious Discipline strategies and techniques in order for students to acquire SEL skills.
Created and presented targeted staff development to teachers district-wide as well as provided resources that improved instructional practices.
Formally coached and collaborated with teachers to foster their understanding of Conscious Discipline principles, which helped improve student behaviors. Developed and led Beginner and Advanced monthly cohorts designed to teach SEL language, songs, behavior techniques, and strategies to early childhood teachers. School Counselor

Designed and delivered developmentally appropriate guidance lessons to elementary students that focused on interpersonal effectiveness, problem solving, cultural awareness, self-esteem, motivation to achieve, responsible behavior, and communication skills.
