NATALIE MARRIOTT

**** * **** *, ********** Ut · 435-***-****

****************@*****.***

The objective I have in wanting to work for you is so I can work at a place and job I enjoy, which I plan on keeping for a while. I also want to work and have experience in a new work environment. I think I am qualified for this job.

EXPERIENCE

JUNE – AUGUST (SEASONAL SUMMER JOB)

BACK CASHEIR, Layton surf n’ swim

As a back cashier I had the responsibility of getting a food handlers permit. When I got the job, I would have to have good social skills to communicate what the patrons’ orders were, and I would need to let my coworker know the order, then we would both get it ready together. Cashiers also had to clean up the space in which we worked, by mopping, wiping down counters and cleaning food supplies. We also were trained how to use the cashier and the programs on the computers that we needed. Cashiers would also take shifts with one another to hand out the tubes at the pool.

NOVEMBER – OCTOBER

LIFEGUARD, Layton surf n’ swim

The responsibilities I had of being a lifeguard included getting a lifeguard certification by taking a weeklong class, then a physical test, and a knowledge test as well to fully be certified. I am also CPR certified as well. Lifeguards were trained on how to use a first aid kit a how to extract people out of the water and get them emergency help. Lifeguards were also taught how to identify symptoms of heat stroke, strokes, heart attacks, etc. Lifeguards would have also had to clean the pool, winterize the pool, work together, be flexible, have patience, clean around the pool, and put in lane lines to the pool. Most importantly lifeguards would always pay attention to others needs and always watch the water.

NOVEMBER -DECEMBER (1 YR 1 MONTH)

HOST, TABLE BUSSER, RED LOBSTER

During my time at Red Lobster, I was required to work well with my team to provide clean space to seat parties, and to greet the consumers in a respectful manner. I would help out the servers with smaller tasks like grabbing drinks or bread. We needed to keep the restrooms clean, as well as work on side work which included cleaning the lobby and restocking things. We needed to be able to stand for 4 or 5 hours straight, and to adapt to situations and strategize what our next move would be. We had to work quickly and intelligently to get people seated fast.

EDUCATION

Currently enrolled in Farmington High School

I am a Junior, my GPA for this past semester is a 3.5. I went to Central Davis Junior High, and I made honor roll about once or twice every year. I was on the volleyball team in 8th grade and was also on Hope Squad for my school in 9th grade. I had the amazing opportunity to sing many a time for my school with the Jazz Band as their soloist before state and after, I sang In choir (about 5 or 6 solos), and have sung the national anthem as well. I am also on the Farmington high school softball team.

SKILLS

I can communicate with customers and coworkers well and I handle difficult situations well.

I strive to show up for work on time and ready to do my job.

I care about doing a great job during the hours of my job.

ACTIVITIES

Some of my passions can be things like art, sports, singing/performing, or other things like helping people, for example. One of those specific passions would be that I want to become a psychologist, so that I can be involved with both therapy and study the brain and people, and how they both function more. I’ve already started on that path by reading psychology books. In 9th grade, when I joined hope squad, I was able to learn how to take care of others needs and how to help them get the help they need. I had projects that I would have to organize for that class, then carry them out to help people around my school. I also offer my advice to friends and family in need of comfort and support :). I think this skill can help in the workplace with the ability to connect with the customers as people and not JUST customers.
