Chief Operating Officer- Contract Position
Responsible for all Lab and Billing operations at main location, including management of Jackson Park Hospital Laboratory and 100 Long Term Care Facilities’ laboratory services. Company merged with Lifescan and eliminated the COO Position.
Pathology Specialist of Arizona, ClinPath Associates and Pathology Billing Services (August 5, 2019 to August 25, 2022)
Chief Operating Officer for the largest Private Practice Group in Arizona. Report directly to the Board of PSA and CPA. Run all operations for three companies, including managing the largest pathology group in the State of Arizona. PSA is a partnership organization that includes five pathology groups and has the sole contract with Banner Healthcare/Laboratory Services of Arizona and Sonora Quest Laboratories. ClinPath Associates has the remaining contracts with Arizona Hospitals for 2 Dignity facilities, all Abrazo and Steward Health facilities and several ASCs, Clinics and Dermatology practices in the greater Phoenix area. In addition, PSA owns PBS which managed by this role and performs all pathology billing for the five groups under PSA and globally bills three major payers for SQL. PSA has a complex structure and continues to grow through its partnership.
P&L operations of the partnership with consolidated revenue of $53m and EBITDA north of $7.2m.
Led the groups through COVID-19 pandemic with no loss in revenue and staff/pathologist due to lay-offs. Acquired PPP-Loans and multiple HHS funding to secure financial stability.
Negotiated a revised contract with United Health Care Commercial and improved rates from 116% of Medicare to %127.
Actively involved in implementation of Digital Pathology throughout the Banner System with first phase installation of Spot Cameras for case consultation.
Recruitment support for over twenty plus pathologists including onboarding and credentialing into the system.
Corrected revenue discrepancies between partners that resulted in ~$600K savings per year for the group.
Identified ~$900,000 in missed revenue for Electrophoresis Professional Read by pathologists.

Supported an academic program with twenty residents and eight fellows.
Designed and streamlined the phases of construction for the anatomic pathology laboratory.
