This includes instrument fitting, running tubing, replacing tubing, changing rolls, changing roll line rolls and pipe welding. At this job I also worked as an arc welder, fabricator fitter, structural welder, stick and mig structural welder. My duties also consisted of reading blue prints and also consisted of being a sky track operator, scissor lift operator, overhead craine operator and rigging with steel chokers, shackles, chain faults, beam clamps, cum alongs. I began this job as a fitter and 2 weeks later I became a foreman/ supervisor position. My duties as supervisor included: Pushing the crew, making sure the crew had everything they needed to safely and efficiently finish the job, reading blue prints, and ordering materials. My job duties consisted of: Installing water pipes: pottable water piping, service water piping, glock oil piping, hydraulic piping and hydraulic hoses, hydraulic pressure low pressure fittings and hoses, consists of high pressure hoses and low pressure fittings, installing schedule 40, schedule 80, and schedule 160 piping including stainless and carbon piping. I was moved to the commission crew which is based of maintenance and start up to get the equipment running properly which consisted of changing piping and changing piping grade, changing hoses around, making sure hoses were properly installed, and correct hose fittings, proper bracing, making sure we had no leaks and the pipes could maintain the pressure it should hold. Making sure the equipment ran properly. The above duties I performed in the cold mill. Then I was transferred to caster hydraulic room. And here my duties consisted of running man lifts, sky tracks, heavy wall hydraulic lines supply and returns, installing proper valves hoses, setting the equipment and hydraulic tanks in location. It also consisted of placing piping in trenches. I used chain faults, cum alongs, shackles, nylon and steel chokers. My pay started out at 26.50 and 85 a day pier dem to 28.50 and 85 pier dem. Setting equipment consisted of accumulators for the hydraulics, air dryers, and setting platforms for the equipment, hand rails, stairs. I installed natural gas lines, oxygen lines, compressed air lines and instrument air lines. I installed eye wash stations, pottable water, and also installed service water lines including chain faults, cum alongs, chokers, shackles, nylon and steel chokers. And at this job I also ran the Broderson which is known as a carry deck. I ran man lifts, sky tracks, forklifts, scissor lifts, and overhead crain. I was also an instrument fitter which consisted of running tubing, tubing fittings, and also I was the Assistant Supervisor/foreman of this job. As the foreman I made sure the jobs were completed properly.
