Qualification:
Holding MEO CL II CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCY.
*Certified Engine room watch-keeping engineer- Independent watch-keeping of engine room when the main engine and boiler are under operation simultaneously with all the other auxiliary machinery such as Generators, Pumps, Air Compressors, Purifiers, Heat Exchangers, Air conditioning and refrigeration plant etc.
Around 6 year of Sailing experience as Second Engineer.
*Worked on different types of machinery. Nature of job includes operation, maintenance and watch keeping of the machineries. List of machineries are not limited to the following:
Wartsila RT Flex dual fuel engines
Wartsila RT Flex electronic engines.
Mitsubishi 6UEC52LA Two Stroke Main Diesel Engine.
Sulzer 12RTS 96C Two Stroke Main Diesel Engine.
Marine diesel generator Yanmar, Daihatsu, SKL and Catterpillar.
Air compressor Yanmar, Tanabe.
*Various types of pump- screw pumps, gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and centrifugal pumps.
Maintenance of cold room and air condition plant.
*Knowledge of firefighting equipment and system.
*Knowledge of various pollution prevention equipments such as sewage plant, oily water separator and Incinerator.
*Expertise with electrical, water, fuel, lubrication, hydraulic, power plant, motor control and related systems and major components.
*Worked in Tugs as Chief Engineer with Ocean sparkle in Chennai port trust.
*Done basic RT Flex orientation course in Busan, S.korea.
Done RT Flex X-DF dual fuel engines course in Busan, South Korea.
Done basic and advanced IGF course at Mumbai, Anglo eastern academy.
Done MAN B&W ME Engine course in NYK training academy, Singapore.
*Prepared Dry dock specifications along with spare part requirements. Attended dry-docking of 4 ships and coordinated, monitored and supported the yard staff with various operations.
*Expertise in preparing reports, Documents and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel etc.
PROFFESIONAL EXPERIENCE
*Total work experience is more than 11years. Sailed as Second Engineer in Pure car Carriers, Car and truck carriers and containers.
*Assigned/scheduled/inspected work, set up preventive maintenance programs; handled inventory management/control, stores/parts/consumables ordering, bunkering of heavy fuel oil, diesel oil and lubricating oil required, continual troubleshooting/problem-solving in the maintenance of propulsion system and other auxiliaries.
*Started my career with NYK Ship Management based in Japan and continuing with them.
*Worked in shore-based vessels, Tugs as Chief Engineer and supervised a team of more than 10 members. Conducted Audits and provided reports to the company.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
*BS Marine Engineering in first division from - R.L. Institute of Nautical Science, Affiliated to BITS, Pilani (2002-2007)
*6 Months Internship in ship in campus
*XII and X passed in first class from SBOA Mat Hr. sec school, Chennai, Tamil nadu.
