Relevant Skills and Experience
• Care for mentally ill patients with diverse backgrounds, and mental health diagnosis and provide mental health services as required.
• Ensure the timely completion of new patient assessments, follow-up psychiatric assessments, medication management as required by state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and sound practice.
• Review appropriate lab results as well as medical documentation from internal and external providers and manage each patient according to their individual needs.
• Prescribe medications and titrate the appropriate dosage of medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests including the diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and performance of therapeutic and corrective measures.
• Screen patients for common psychiatric, substance use, and/or medical co-morbidities and evaluate co-existing conditions and the implications on the patients care/needs.
• Adheres to program expectations and requirements surrounding productivity, documentation timelines and standards, and overall quality of patient care.
• Works within an integrated treatment model coordinating treatment with both internal and external providers as indicated.
• Document patients mental health status, treatment, condition, diagnosis etc. using electronic medical record software such as Epic and Medent.
• Clinical assessment and critical reasoning skills to elicit and interpret information from patients and other sources to evaluate information and draw conclusions for a plan of care.
